Welcome to Eastside
Eastside Baptist Church is a family-friendly church in Rock Island, Tennessee, about four miles east of McMinnville along Sparta Highway. Since 1991, our church has served the community through outreach, ministry, and fellowship. We want our community and the whole world to know the love of God and the good news of the gospel.
Meet our pastor
Pastor D.J. Willis
Senior Pastor
Pastor D.J. Willis has served as lead pastor of Eastside since March 2025. He and his wife, Amanda, are raising their three children while serving the church and Rock Island community.
“Hey there, my name is Pastor DJ Willis and I am the lead pastor of Eastside Baptist Church since the beginning of March of 2025. I was called to preach in 2008, ordained after I graduated Bible College in 2013, and I have served the Lord in various ministries across the country through evangelism, discipleship development, and associate ministry of music and outreach events. Amanda and I were married in 2013 and we have three amazing children; Emmalee, Owen, Tara. Since the call to ministry, my wife and I have a burden to reach people with the gospel and connect them to a family-oriented ministry where the Word of God is passionately preached and taught and where lives are changed through the truth. One of the reasons that the Lord used to lead us to Eastside was the tremendous love and friendship that we felt when we walked through the doors. We would love to see you become part of this family and to see what plan God has in store for you through this ministry.”
